Animal Communication
Most consultations are done over the phone, but I also do face-to-face meetings for clients in the New York City area.

I will ask your animal companion if he would like to participate in a communication with us. If he does, we will continue with a conversation. Depending on the situation, I will either ask questions, or the animal will communicate on his or her own.
You will have the chance to ask specific questions as we go along, to zero in on any particulars. Your participation is very helpful to me during the consultation, and contributes to the positive energy flow of our session. I follow up all consultations with your choice of an emailed written summary or audio file of our conversation for your records.
It's often helpful to think of the questions you'd like to address prior to the consultation. Here are some of the common issues we can cover together:
Behavior Issues Solutions
I specialize in unwanted behaviors, such as separation anxiety, unwanted barking, jumping, furniture clawing, biting, aggression, scratching and litter box issues. I can help you understand the situation from the animal’s point of view, and work with you both to identify potential solutions that will be agreeable to everyone.
Lifestyle Transitions
Big events and changes can be challenging and confusing for both us and our animal companions. Perhaps you are bringing home a new addition to your family (whether human or animal), moving homes, changing schedules, or coping with loss. I can assist you in relaying these changes to your animals, along with your expectations for positive outcomes, helping you both to support each other as your lives grow and change together.
Training Analysis and Improvement
Whether you’re embarking on a new training program or would like to make a current program more effective, I can help your animal to understand your expectations and goals, while helping you to see the impact of the training from your animal’s perspective.
Happiness and Well-Being
What makes your animal happy? Does she like her food? Trainer? Walker? Groomer? Barn? Terrarium plants? Treats? Exercise routine? Litter box placement? Collar? Who are her friends? Would she like a companion? We’ll be able to address these and many other questions together.
Health
The bodily sensations and feelings your animal shares with me can be a valuable key to understanding ways to help your animal feel his best. Is your animal having any problems that you may not have noticed yet? Does his current treatment method make him feel better? Are there ways you can help him to feel more comfortable in addition to a current veterinary treatment he’s undergoing? Are there other treatments he feels might be beneficial? In situations where you haven’t been able to figure out what is going on with your animal physically, I may be able to help you understand what it feels like from your animal’s perspective. I also offer the healing energy of Reiki, upon request, to my clients (both animal and human) who are dealing with health issues. For more information on Reiki, please click here.
Please note: I am not a veterinarian, and cannot diagnose nor treat illness. With respect to health, my goal is to describe to you the symptoms and feelings from the animal’s point of view, which can be helpful information to bring to your veterinarian. There is no substitute for proper veterinary care, nutrition, and exercise. When in doubt, please take your animal companion to your veterinarian first.
Death and Dying
I also specialize in terminal care, including euthanasia consultation. I can assist you in understanding your animal’s feelings and needs to allow you to find the best ways to support your animal’s health and well-being during her last days with you. If you’d like to bring more clarity to the difficult time of assisting your loved one to the other side, I am honored to help you and your animal. Is she ready? Does she want to go on her own, or with help? Many of my clients find that these sessions assist them in fully embracing their relationship with their animal, allowing them to understand the animal’s wishes for its transition. Life Purpose and Spirituality
Each of us has a job to do, and our animal companions are no different. If you’d like to explore your animal’s sense of his purpose, his roles in your family, or his views on spirituality and the world around us, I can assist you in beginning this conversation, as well as supporting each other in your paths on this earth.
Animals in Spirit
Although your beloved animal companion may not be with you in bodily form, the heart connection you share through your emotional bond to each other continues. Sometimes an animal dies suddenly, or their human has unresolved feelings about the circumstances of their death. These consultations can be helpful in understanding your animal companion’s concept of their death, as well as the life lessons they shared with you while they were here in body.
Pest Animals
Dealing with pest animals is no different than coming to mutual understandings with your chosen animal companions. Whether your problem is squirrels in your yard, roaches in your kitchen, mice in your apartment walls, or spider mites on your favorite houseplant, we can work together to help you and your “pest” understand each other’s motives and goals, working toward a compromise to which both parties can agree. I’ve had a great deal of success in this area. If you’re open to coming to the conversation as equal parties in a negotiation, I’m happy to mediate the treaty!
What not to expect from a consultation: I am not a veterinarian, and cannot diagnose nor treat illness. With respect to health, my goal is to describe to you the symptoms and feelings from the animal’s point of view, which can be helpful information to bring to your veterinarian. There is no substitute for proper veterinary care, nutrition, and exercise. When in doubt, please take your animal companion to your veterinarian first.
I operate my practice in accordance with the Code of Ethics for Interspecies Communicators, formulated by Penelope Smith.
